It's almost been an entire month since Neverwinter entered open beta. Since then, there have been several issues, bugs, and exploits that we here at 247playgames have have reported on. In order to connect more closely to the game's community, Lead Producer Andy Velasquez has released a State of the Game address in which he comments on past issues and future plans.
Velasquez begins by thanking the community for being so helpful and active in reporting issues within the game. He is not shy to mention the bugs and exploits that have affected Neverwinter since open beta, and further illustrates how they were fixed.
Velasquez also gives an overview on current issues that his team is working on, and explains what gamers can expect in the future. Some of the things that will be updated soon, include network performance, party loot issues, improving the PvP system, etc.
Furthermore, a Public Test Shard is coming to the game, with which the Neverwinter team hopes to discover and fix bugs before new content goes live. In this way, developers Cryptic Studios want to make sure that only quality fixes make it into the open beta.
Velasquez also announces that new content is currently in development. Neverwinter’s first raid-sized, competitive PvP/PvE experience, called Gauntlgrym, is scheduled to be released to open beta within a few weeks. Other content includes new companions, zones, mounts, mechanics, Paragon Paths, and a new “ranged” class.
