Publishers Gaijin Entertainment have recently published a brand new feature to their MMO flight simulator War Thunder. Players now have the chance to team up in Squadrons which, according to the official website, are designed for "cooperative fights, participation in tournaments and just having fun".
Any player with at least 2500 golden Eagles can create a Squadron. This gamer will automatically be his team’s leader and receive special management functions for his Squadron, which include accepting and declining applications, changing the team’s data, kicking players from the Squadron, changing members’ ranks, dismissing the Squadron, and moderating the team chat.
Other members of the team will either be officers - who can also accept and decline applications, dismiss players from the Squadron, and moderate the team chat - or privates who have none of the above functions.
Each Squadron can have up to 128 players. It will have its own statistics based on number of destroyed aircrafts, number of destroyed ground and naval units, number of deaths, and time spent in the game. Each player can only apply for and join one team at a time.
